Globelines, PLDT and Bayantel’s Landline +DSL part2
31 March 2007A PLDT agent called me the other day to invite me to apply for the
P990 offer. This is for our office line. According to him, we are already nxgn but the PLDT CSR provider still hasn't updated their records. I also double checked with him, and he said that the price is still subject to 12% EVAT and that the lock up period is only one year. So I called PLDT's hotline again and the CSR said that the price is net but lock up period is 2 years. What's the real deal then? If the price is subject to EVAT, then it will just be comparable with the BAYANTEL offer.
Another upcoming package from Globelines is the "Speak and Surf". Supposedly for around P700 to P800 per month, you get a wireless landline with wireless internet connection (through a modem attached to the wireless landline phone). The wireless landline though, gives you unlimited free calls to other Globelines only. Calls to PLDT, Bayantel, etc don't are charged.
As for Bayantel Span, I met a family friend who purchased the Nokia model and he said signal strength and coverage is as good as other cellular networks. I guess I used the wrong phone model. But I heard that they might offer Span bundled with wireless internet(through a modem like the Speak and Surf). I'll wait for that instead.

I’m a Bayantel Wireless Landline user. So far super-ok lahat, from the signal to the billing (no hidden charges talaga!). Ok din yung customer service, ang dali magpa-activate ng features at tumawag kung may mga tanong ako.

Naipa-deliver sa akin yung unit on the same day that I ordered it! Tapos, nagamit ko agad yung phone dahil pre-activated.
Pinag-iisipan ko nga ngayon kung kuha ako ng second unit, para may landline kami sa bahay kahit na dala-dala ko yung BWL ko sa office…
