2008 Beijing Olympics Solar Sports TV Schedule
8 August 2008The coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics begins tonight with a live broadcast of the opening ceremonies on Solar Sports. The event will begin at 8pm, as the organizers made it a point to start this year's Olympics at 8/8/08 at 8pm 
All eyes are on Beijing as the hosts have made no qualms about making this the biggest, if not the best, version of the quadrennial games. So many subplots abound, however, from world politics, world economy, the doping controversy, etc. But of course, its the games that matter for now.
Basketball, one of the more anticipated events in the games, will have its first telecast on BTV on Saturday, Aug.9 with the USA women facing the Czech Republic at 9pm. The USA men's team, this year's dream team tasked with redemption, will begin play on Sunday, Aug.10 at 10pm facing off against Yao Ming and host China in what should be a ratings megablockbuster for world networks. BTV will again carry that live.
