The articles herein that contains helpful hints, tips, download apps games and links are not jsut for the Xperia X1, but for all phones using Windows Mobile 6 or 6., and hopefully the soon to be released version 7.  Other smartphones that use WM 6.1 are HTC Touch, HTC Touch Dual, AT&T Tilt, Samsung Blackjack 2, HTC Mogul, Samsung Ace, Motorla Q9c, Palm Treo Pro, among others.

Is there an application for the X1 that is similar to Iphone's Stock quote page?
a:Yes, Equity Expert is free to download here.  You may change the background using file explorer.

Can you install HTC's Touchflo software on your xperia for your control panel interface?
a: yes you can but your system will crash a lot.  I know, I tried it. SO DON'T INSTALL IT!

How can you uninstall HTC's Touchflo from Xperia?
a:go to your Today icon in setttings, and uncheck Touchflo, then go to Remove Programs to remove the Touchflo program.  The time it took to install (about 15 minutes or more) will be the time it will take to uninstall… maybe more.

Where can I download Microsoft Voice Command?
a: There is MS Voice Commander v1.6.19209 Retail for PocketPC by RLYEH, or Microsoft Voice Command v1.6.19214 Retail for PocketPC by RLYEH, have your antivirus and firewall ready.  I downloaded from those sites to try the product.  We do not advocate piracy.  Remove the product after testing, and buy the product from Handster from this site for $39.99.  Read more about voice command from Microsoft's website. Error in installing Voice Command.
a: People who have tried or bought the program report errors during installation.  What you could do is notice the queue bar of the installation.  It usually reaches the end of the bar, before the error pops up.  Click yes or something to that effect, and you will be given notice that installation was successful.  Try it and it will now work.

Where can I download games and apps for Xperia?
a: There are a lot of games and apps available for the Xperia, since its platform is Windows Mobile 6.1.  They also released the SDK, which will allow developers to freely create programs for the X1.  You can search google for games or apps for WM 6.1, and chances are, it will run on the Xperia.

Remember to turn off UMTS, or 3G, or else the Xperia will connect automatically to 3G in absence of any wifi connections available.

How to turn off 3g in Sony Ericsson Xperia?
a:
1. click on the signal bars at the top of the page
2. clck on the "Settings" option
3. goto the "Band" tab at the bottom of the screen
4. select "GSM" rather than "Auto"
5. click "ok" at top of screen, and that's it 

Also remember to turn off wifi when not in use for surfing or emailing, or else your battery will drain quickly from all the attempts on scanning for available wifi signals.

How to turn off wifi in Sony Ericsson Experia?
a: there are also signal bars on the top of the page (depending on your panel), but its fairly easy to find.

Having trouble maintaining activesync connection between phone to PC or connection from Xperia to PC dropping?
a: click start/settings/usb to pc icon
uncheck "enable advanced network functionality"

Your installed program says it needs .net v 3.5 or higher?
a: downloading just any .net 3.5 won't do. you would need the NET Compact Framework 3.5NET for mobile PCS. Download details: .NET Compact Framework 3.5 Redistributable

Xperia Crashing, can't touch some icons
a: don't leave too many programs open.  Like a computer, it allocates memory for running applications.  Running applications can be closed by clicking the topmost and rightmost icon on the screen, and pressing X.

The Xperia Headphones that came with the unit looks a lot like the iphone headpset, can we interchange usage?
a: no. The Xperia headphones won't fit into the recessed hole that the Iphone earphone socket has.
a: no. The Iphone's audio may work with the Xperia, but the Iphone mic won't work that well when talking to someone on the phone.

The Xperia and Iphone's charger/adaptor for the wall stocket both have USB input, can we interchange usage?
a: Iphone charger output 5v, Xperia charger output also 5 volts.  Will it charge? yes it will, i tried it.  But will I use one for the other? Nope, I'd rather not risk it.
