Much of Asia is already lower after Wall street pausing on its rally. The johnny come lately Philippines prods on with its own rally, led by MER 168 ALI 10.50 SM 330.
About 2/3 of the index stocks were gainers, to only two losers FLI .8 and TEL 2580.
Whereas broker 323 Credit Lyonnais was adamant on buying volumes of FLI which made this previously safe from the fall, broker 323 is now slightly selling. He did this selling only once last week, and reverted back to heavy buying but is now back on the slight selling move.
Broker 323, the broker supposedly with the largest collection of hedge fund clients, was also the staunch opposition to FPH’s rise as they were selling from 40s to 50s and back to 40s BUT now they have joined broker 209 Deutsche in the buyers’ side.
Broker 209 Deutsche was also last seen buying heavily on SMDC but was absent today, causing a continued fall back to 4.65 before a 4.75 close.
Some slight short lived rallies on the likes of MPI MEG. Top overall gainers were ORE IP VLL PO (as Villar closes in on Noynoy’s lead in the presidential polls). Loser boys were led by IMI LIHC IS CEI LND
