The 29th Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) - Sept. 12-16, 2008

The ticket price for the event is Php 80.

There will be no pre-selling of tickets, and you can only buy the ticket at the gate only during the event.

We like to warn everyone that the ticket won't be available before June 14. Please don't buy advance tickets to strangers or to anyone who pre sells tickets of the Toy Con 2008. Report it to us if you have encountered a ticket seller before the event.

Tickets are only available at the ticket booth located at the event in Megatrade Hall 2.

How to transfer songs from ipod to pc

Itunes users know that transferring songs is limited to a one way street, one can only transfer from PC to your ipod.  This is Apple's way of ensuring that their gadget would not be used as a usb device to transfer songs from one ipod to various PC owners.  Hence,  limiting mp3 piracy.

This frustration by many ipod users led many third party software application makers to develop a software that will let the user transfer songs from an ipod to a PC.

However, one will have trouble searching the net for finding a software that will give you flexibility on how the song would appear on your hard disk when transferred.

Yesterday i bough the Invisible shield as im sick of my bulky acrylic case for my Iphone.

The clear acrylic case served me well but it always picked up dirt in the crevices and was bulky in my pocket the Iphone is big enough as it is.

Latest Toy Recall - Aqua Dots

Another Chinese-made toy marketed by Spin Master as Aqua Dots have been placed on recall.  Scientists found that the beads contain a chemical that converts into a powerful "date rape" drug when ingested. Two children in the U.S. and three in Australia were hospitalized after swallowing the beads. 

The recalled toy is a craft kit which allows children to create various multi-dimensional designs using small colored beads. The beads fuse together when sprayed with water.  The product is available in various different kits with accessories such as a drying fan, applicator pen, design templates for the beads, and spray bottle.  (US Consumer Product Safety Commission)  http://www.cpsc.gov/

The Orionids Meteor Shower seen here in Philippines

For stargazers out there!!! The Orionids meteor shower will be visible from October 17-25. And if we have good clear skies during these nights, the October's New Moon will further enhance the shower at its peak. At maximum rates, the shower may reach 20-25 meteors per hour that may be seen during the peak nights of October 22-23.  The Orionids are fast meteors and can of produce fireballs. The radiant of the shower (where most meteors can be seen - highlighted part in right photo) will be observed north of Betelgeuse, the brightest star in the constellation Orion, the Mighty Hunter.
