good day! i dont know if i posted at the right thread. but i really need help regarding the Philippine stock market. we are currently making a primer about investing on the Philippine stock market. So far, we got the basics like how to invest, how to earn, etc. but we can't find the returns of last year (2008), 3 years ago (2005) and 5 years ago (2004). Hope you can help us. It's our term paper in Financial Management.

Good morning!

I am an accountancy graduate and want to apply what I've learned in school. I've been investing in equity MFs but not in Philippines. Now, I want to learn the stock market and trade on my own. For the mean time, I have to read, read and read here in Finance Manila.

Thanks ;)

hi you guys ! this is my first post. I don't know what the hell we're here for but am ready to see what the other guys are doing to keep from falling off the cliff when prices go haywire behind our backs. How well do you guys know about EDC and where its heading ?

thats what happen pag walang disciplina sa trading rules, we forgot taking profits when its there for the taking. like jumping in CPM at 4.50 and targetting exit at 5.50, but held back hoping it can hit 7, only to see it fall back to 5. Mabuti pa ang AEV, quiet but steadily rising since last year, from 5.40 in May 09, it climbed to 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Now its at 11.75 if only we noticed it much earlier sana. Very disappointing to us ang EDC, AGI, MG, FGEN, and other index stocks maski pa tinutulak ng fundies...

(Parang walang mga tao from FM bumibisita dito, kasi last december 2009 pa karamihan ng mga postings dito?) most are newbies like me too, but its nice to sound off what's on your mind here, hindi ba ? i agree with longnecks view on keeping off MRC specially when Lucio Tan makes a big deal out of it. Traders are always waiting to "sell on the news". Not a good idea to buy on the news!

Makita ko rin parang part of a "dead cat's bounce" this small rally ng Phisix the past few days. Just hope it doesn't go much lower than 2800 after hitting 3000 the other day. Yup, like what boss Dragon says, better keep out muna, stay in cash and wait for better days. Looks like CPM's support is at 3.40? after hitting it 3 times na--- same as October levels Parang nag form ng "double bottom" ? If China perks up its car industry, that could perk up demand for more nickel, a nice prospect for CPM and NI, di ba ?

Ayun, nag triple bottom na ata ang CPM, trading between 3.30 - 3.60 which will take a long time before it rises back to 4.00! Naiwan na tayo sa APC mga pare ko. From 0.34, 0.38, umakyat na sa 0.47---closing 0.56 last friday at big volume and value. Kung naka timing ka, 20% to 30% ang profits mo? Ang sustained rise ng AEV since July pa, parang nag weaken sa 11.00 after hitting 12.00 four times. Sayang no? But perseverance can pay off with a stock like AEV. remember ICTS ? Parang gumaganda na ata--- but be careful about being stuck with falling stocks

Ang tagal na nito but better late than never! By this time, lumanbot na ang CPM down to 3.15 - 3.20 with no signs of gaining strenght. sideways na ang movement from now on----some day it might break back to 4.00? i don't know. Strong gainers are APC umabot na ang .64 after wallowing around .60's for some time.... and LND which also shot up bigla with heavy volume around March 3 ?....hindi namin alam what's jejrking up that stock... but AEV is still keeping its steady rise way up to 12.75, falling back sometimes to 12.50, showing its easy uptrend since July last year...
