The answer is simple. download AVIADDXSUBS, a free program that converts and hardcodes the subs in only about two minutes.
AVIAddXSubs is a simple free program to incorporate subtitles from .srt (ANSI text, up to 2 srt) or idx/sub (containing up to 8 subtitles) quickly and easily to your avi files containing DivX/XVid video streams. Just place the avi and its associated (same name) srt in the same directory and Drag&Drop the avi on AVIAddXSubs icon or shortcut in your desktop. In 2-3 minutes a new file with divx extension will be created and be ready to play in your hardware DivX player. IdxSub2Srt is included in AVIAddXSub, convert idx/sub to SRT using OCR.

The first thing you should do is switch both your ps3 and pc on.
With the PS3 you should navigate the XMB to Settings. Then right at the bottom go into Network Settings. Once again at the bottom is Media Server Connection. Click this and Enable.
Now navigate back to the Video menu. You should now see "Search for Media Servers" and possible the name of a computer/server on your network.

What is upscaling? Upscaling is the conversion of a lower resolution video image (e.g. 720×480p) to a higher resolution (e.g. 1280×720p). Blue ray disc owners need not concern themselves with upscaling technology, as it is lower resolution video discs that need to be upscaled to almost blueray level.
Currently, there are leading brandnamed Panasonic, Samsung, and Sony non-blueray dvd players available in the market for 4,000 to 6,000 pesos depending on various feature differences.
However, this article is for PS3 owners who want to take advantage of their built in upscaling technology. The Ps3 already supported upscaling via its version 1.80 firmware update last year, chances are, you already have the update, because current version now runs at about v 2.42.
Best Console is still Nintendo Wii

Nintendo remains king on console hardware sales charts. The NPD Group has released its retail findings for March, revealing that Nintendo has sold a staggering 721,000 Wii console for the month – no doubt selling every unit to hit store shelves. This is the reason why wii prices, instead of falling straight down like the ps3 and Xbox, bounced back to around 19,000 pesos.
To further add to the regular demand, the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl has Nintendo fans in a frenzy. The Nintendo DS carries on with strong, unwavering sales at 698,000 units sold, just behind the Wii. “Nintendo systems represented 58 percent of all video game hardware sold in March in the United States,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We expect our momentum to continue with big upcoming game launches like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit.”
