How to view subtitles in ps3 while streaming from pc

Okay, so you've learned how to stream seamless from your Windows 7 PC to your PS3, and are able to watch downloaded videos with the upscaling feature of your PS3, but what about those other movies you've downloaded where the subtitles are separate files and not hard coded into your video?

The answer is simple. download AVIADDXSUBS, a free program that converts and hardcodes the subs in only about two minutes.

AVIAddXSubs is a simple free program to incorporate subtitles from .srt (ANSI text, up to 2 srt) or idx/sub (containing up to 8 subtitles) quickly and easily to your avi files containing DivX/XVid video streams. Just place the avi and its associated (same name) srt in the same directory and Drag&Drop the avi on AVIAddXSubs icon or shortcut in your desktop. In 2-3 minutes a new file with divx extension will be created and be ready to play in your hardware DivX player. IdxSub2Srt is included in AVIAddXSub, convert idx/sub to SRT using OCR.

How to stream video from Win 7 to PS3 or XBOX

Previously, we offered an article on how to stream media from your PC's Win XP to your PS3 using a program called Tversity.  With the suave new Windows 7, sharing without using any third party programs could never be easier.

The first thing you should do is switch both your ps3 and pc on.

With the PS3 you should navigate the XMB to Settings. Then right at the bottom go into Network Settings. Once again at the bottom is Media Server Connection. Click this and Enable.

Now navigate back to the Video menu. You should now see "Search for Media Servers" and possible the name of a computer/server on your network.

Windows 7 versus Vista versus xp comparison

Now that windows 7 is due out before the holiday season, and a few leaked torrent copies have already made their way into the internet, let's examine if it is worth the upgrade to windows 7.

Take a look at the following graphs and research I've compiled which show and compare Windows 7 with vista and xp.

This first graph is from thinkdiff:

Windows 7 uses less RAM and disk space than Vista

Although, the comparison between x64 and x86 version of different operating systems doesn’t seem fair, it does tell a story of how improvements have been made from Vista to Windows 7, and how much of a resource hog Vista was
